The research titled "Political Parties' Track Record on Climate and Energy Transition Issues: An Analysis of Media Findings and Party Platforms" found that the majority of parties that have passed the parliameantary threshold in the 2019 elections and are in the parliament have not placed the issue of energy transition and climate change as a serious agenda in their party policies. This can be seen from the lack of party policies and party documents related to these issues.
This research uses a structured sample strategy methodology with the criteria of political parties that passed the threshold in the 2019 elections and the top 10 national online media with the most readers with the data collection technique of retrieving political party news related to the issue of energy transition and climate change from the 2019-2023 period based on a number of keywords. The data was then analyzed according to themes, politician quotes, and triangulation with political party platform and policy documents.
